​We download transactions whenever possible to save the client time and money on bookkeeping data entry.  We try to use secure "accountant's only" limited online access to get bank statements, set up downloads and view deposits and checks so the client does not have to spend time sending us materials, and thus can concentrate on running their business.  We try to get online access to the clients payroll service so we can access the payroll reports to enter the payroll entries correctly into QuickBooks, which also saves the client time in sending us materials.  We try to recommend services like QuickBooks Payroll (which has full service payroll as well), because QuickBooks Payroll enters the payroll entries automatically into QuickBooks, as opposed to using other payroll services and having the bookkeeper enter the payroll entries manually.
